Nadja at your service! (Get it? Service! I'm a service dog!) I crack me up...but seriously....

Hiya! Welcome back ;-) How ya doin today?!

I hope you took my advice yesterday and did some tail-waggin, butt-sniffin, bone-chewin good livin!

I've been pretty busy today. Unfortunately, my Mom wasn't feeling well today. She got real sick from the excessive heat the other day (she's got somethin called Multiple Sclerosis that makes her feel really yucky and weak when it's hot)... anyhooo, she started feeling better then got a muscle spasm through her neck/back and couldn't move or bend much today. ;-(
I was called into duty and was proud to serve! Mom needed me to pick things up for her, I helped with the laundry (one of my favorite things to do!... I like to pick things up off the floor and put them in the washer, then help pull them out of the dryer for Mom when they're done..what fun!)

Mom needed me to keep an eye on the kid while we played out in the back yard together...and we were havin a great time building sand castles until.... guess what?! My funny, little, fur person, Gracie sneaked out of the yard and into the front yard!

I was so scared she was going to get hit by a car or somethin, so I started yipping and remembered how to open the door and ran back into the house to tell Mom, then opened the door to run back out to where Grace had gone under the fence.

Luckily, Mom was able to go to the front door and call the little imp before she left our property...whew! That was too close! Apparently, there had been a stray doggie nosing around our property earlier in the day, and the little fur person decided to go check out all the new smells he left behind. Hers thought she was goin on an adventure, but I was scared! I don't know what I'd do without my funny little fur person!

Mom told me what a good girl I was to let her know that Gracie was in trouble. I've been trained to do the same thing if the kid gets into trouble; but I figured it was supposed to be my job to look out for my little fur person too, and I was right! I was pretty pleased with myself that I did so good, and that everything turned out okay!

Okay... so; I helped Mom pick up around the house, did the laundry, babysat the kid, rescued the funny little fur person....then..... hmmm, what DID I do next?? OH! yeah... then it was Dr. Phil and snoozie time ;-) Mom was sitting in her favorite chair on her heating pad, and the kid went with Mom's home health care worker to the playground so that Mom could get some rest; and I stayed at her feet, ready to jump into service if she needed it.

Mom says she's starting to feel much better now, and that we're all going to the dog park tomorrow morning!!! I can't wait! We LOVE the dog park! There's great dogs to play with, a creek to swim in, and lots and lots of fields and trails to explore! So much fun! I'll probably have a training session there, too. Mom makes a point of putting me in busy environments and putting me through my paces so that I learn to work under disctractions. She says that my GSD g-e-n-e-t-i-c-s (whatever the heck they are!) are responsible for my incredible focus.... I don't know what that genetic thing is; but I'm sure glad that she thinks I'm doing a good job!

(Huh? Oh, okay Mom...be right there!) Mom says it's time to go do our potty thing, then it's time for bed. I'm sure tired after all the excitement today and I can't wait to go to the dogpark tomorrow! I'll meet you back here tomorrow and tell you all about it, okay? "See" you tomorrow!
